Allegro Academy offers you and your family outstanding music lessons in your home.
We offer professional instruction for PIANO, VOICE, VIOLIN, and GUITAR.


Piano, Voice and Violin

Piano, violin and voice lessons are 30 minutes in length for a beginning level student.  Adult beginners are always welcome. 45 minute lessons are recommended for Intermediate and Advanced Level students 1-2 times per week.

Goals of Piano Study

Music reading, counting, music theory introduction and basic hand positioning will be introduced.  Sight-reading, basic chords and melody playing as well as different touches and effects will be explored.   Scales and exercises are mastered in the Intermediate level to increase dexterity and technical skills.  Advanced level students study Music history, music theory, famous composers and their contributions in greater detail. Classical and world famous repertoire is performed. 

Goals of Violin Study

Music reading, music theory, stance, posture, how to hold the instrument and its parts, fingerings and intonation, and simple classic tunes are introduced. Intermediate students will be assigned melodious etudes and broader music theory with  intermediate-level pieces. Advanced students will be assigned a Bach partita, a popular violin concerto, scales and etudes.

Goals of Voice Study

Human anatomy and physiology as it relates to singing will be introduced along with breath and air support techniques.  Posture, diction and vocal styles such as opera, belt, or Art song along with vocal heath as it relates to singing will be explored.



Guitar

Guitar  lessons are 30 minutes in length for a beginning level student.  Adult beginners are always welcome. 45 minute lessons are recommended for Intermediate and Advanced Level students 1-2 times per week.

Students are encouraged to practice their musical study material at least 15 minutes per day in order to be well prepared for their next lesson.  

 

Goals of Guitar Study

Music reading, counting, music theory introduction and basic hand positioning and strumming will be introduced.  Sight-reading, basic chords and melody playing as well as different touches and effects will be explored.   Scales and exercises are mastered in the Intermediate level to increase dexterity and technical skills.  Advanced level students study music history, music theory, famous guitarists and their contributions in greater detail. Mixed repertoire is performed. 


Tuition

Tuition is due at the first lesson of each month.  For your security, all transactions are made via PayPal or other payment portals we may offer on our website.  Tuition is considered late after the 10th of the month.  An e-statement will be sent along with a late fee of $15 for past due tuition.   The monthly tuition amount reflects the number of lessons for each month. 

Supplies and Materials

Lesson Books and assignment/ practice log will be supplied as needed.  Payment for books may be made as they are received.
